Netball World Cup SYDNEY 2015 (NWC2015) is the pinnacle international event for the sport and as such NWC2015 are pleased to invite community and school groups to apply for the opportunity to access a number of complimentary NWC2015 matches to be played at Netball Central.
Netball Central, is the second competition and training venue for NWC2015 and there will be 16 matches played at the venue, for which NWC2015 would like to provide community and school groups with some complimentary ticketing.
There are seven sessions at Netball Central with matches played on the Show Court;
Day 1 @ Netball Central; 9.50am – 3.20pm, featuring three Preliminary Round Matches
Day 2 @ Netball Central; 3.20pm – 6.50pm, featuring two Preliminary Round Matches
Day 5 @ Netball Central; 12.20pm – 3.50pm, featuring two Qualification Round Matches
Day 6 @ Netball Central; 12.20pm – 1.50pm, featuring one Qualification Round Matches
Day 9 @ Netball Central – Session 1; 9.30am – 11am, featuring one Play-Off Match
Day 9 @ Netball Central – Session 2; 5.15pm – 6.45pm, featuring one Play-Off Match
Day 10 @ Netball Central; 8.50am – 12.20pm, featuring two Placing Matches
The Legacy Program consists of a variety of initiatives to ensure that NWC2015 provides a long lasting impact for the Australian and international netball community.
In addition to the NWC2015 Trophy Tour, the development of NWC2015 educational resources and many other activities, the Legacy Program will provide community and school groups with the opportunity to see netball at the highest level, through complimentary ticket allocations to matches played at Netball Central during NWC2015.
The focus of Legacy ticketing will be placed on providing an introduction to the sport for communities and groups new to netball.
To date NWC2015 have received a high number of enquiries regarding Legacy Tickets and as such, are mindful of giving all community and school groups the chance to apply during the short application window.
The aim of the Legacy Program is to provide a variety of community and school groups with the opportunity to access complimentary tickets to Netball Central, with a focus on providing an introduction to the sport for communities new to netball.
Send us your creatively written, verbal or visual applications which include the following information;
a) Why your community or school group would love to be able to access complimentary tickets to Netball Central.
b) Indicating which days (maximum of 3 days from the list above) that your group would like to be considered for attendance and would work for your schedule/attendance
c) Please specify the number of seats you would like to access, noting a maximum of 50 can be obtained.
d) Please include if your group has a specific country/team that they would like to see play (Please note there are days for which the match results will determine the allocation of matches in Netball Central. Click here to access the Competition Schedule.

Notification to applicants: By Wednesday 24 June 2015
We invite applications to be as creative as possible in order to demonstrate why your group would like to attend and the benefits of the experience for your community.
Applicants will be advised of their application outcome by 3pm, Wednesday 24 June 2015, prior to the end of Term 2 to allow for group planning and logistics.
Groups – Applications should be for no more than 50 people per group. There is no minimum.
Notification - Each successful group will receive further instructions and information once successfully notified of their provision of NWC2015 Legacy Ticketing.
Accessibility – Should you group be successful in securing ticketing, we will discuss any accessibility needs with your group leader.
Food & Drink –Venue policies applies – commercial fast food or eskies containing food are not permitted in the venue. The Huddle Café on site has a variety of food and beverage options..
Applications - Based on the applications, NWC2015 will select the most creative and passionate applications and invite these groups to attend.
Transportation - Please note that groups will be responsible for arranging the transportation of students to and from Sydney Olympic Park on the day.
Seating – Whilst NWC2015 would like to accommodate every request, there is limited seating at Netball Central for Legacy ticketing. NWC2015 have worked hard to ensure that every seat is well allocated in order to fulfil as many requests as possible.
Legacy considerations – NWC2015 will aim to provide ticketing to a range of community and school groups, with a view to the international engagement of the competition, needs of community groups and engagement of new communities to netball.
Country/Team – We invite groups to indicate in their application if they have a particular interest in seeing a certain nation in action at Netball Central. Given the nature of the Competition Schedule, the results of each day will determine the Days 5 – 10 of competition and thus won’t be known until the event time. Therefore there will be occasion for which aligning team interest and the draw will not be possible due to the unknown competition results.
